Bridging the digital divide - a social and technical point of view

Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to provide information about current status of digital divide, explore reasons for digital divide and issues rose on society and provide a summary of initiatives that can be taken to overcome digital divide. The scope is limited to explore ways of securing the needed infrastructure from a technical point of view and a social point of view.
