The soil-water characteristic curve (SWCC) of the soil found at Pussellawa landslide site is developed for a wide range of metric suction values, based on the results obtained from a series of laboratory triaxial tests on unsaturated samples. The SWCC of the same soil is developed for a range of metric suction values, based on the results obtained from laboratory tests using a 5 bar Pressure plate apparatus. The developed SWCC's are compared with each other and typical soil-water characteristic curves reported in literature.en_US
