Web-mobile based management system for real estate company

Abstract

The aim of developing the MSc final project is to fulfill the partial requirement for the award of the MSc in Information Technology from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. The topic selected for the final project is to implement a web - mobile based management system for a real estate company. Though, the system has been designed to provide real system management functionalities to Ceylinco Prosperity (P) Ltd, the completed system would help any real estate company to manage most of its real estate activities, since the real estate functionalities are similar to all real estate companies. The proposed system will manage the real estate activities efficiently and effectively. The comparison of the clliciency of the implemented system against the manual system has been calculated and results are documented later, which clearly identifies that the implemented system is way superior to the manual system.Living in the world of customer oriented business development, it is always essential to take into account the clients satisfaction for any solution provided by the organi7.ation. The proposed web - mobile based system will increase the client satisfaction, as it will provide real estate functionalitics to its clients around the clock 24x7 and will allow them to gain access to the real estate functionalities provided from anywhere.The report will cover in detail, activities undertaken in all phases of the software development process, like primary and secondary research, analysis, design, development and testing of the system. This report will also cover a thorough analysis of tools and techniques used to develop the new real estate management system and features implemented in the new system. Since a manual system was studied to implement this project the description on the existing system and how processes work and problems faced by the organization and solutions to overcome the problems faced arc also discussed in this document. The report also documents various test scenarios performed to validate and verify the web-mobile based real estate management system.Since most of the activities in real industry have to be performed manually, the scope of this project was limited to the operations that can be automated. The objective of this project is to provide Ceylinco prosperity (P) Ltd a system that will enable them to carry out their real estate activities better than the manual system currently in use. The system designed and developed will also enable any real estate organization to use and perform their real estate activities and to be the market leader and gain competitive edge over its competitors.
