dc.description.abstract'Banki turbine', named after its inventor professor Banki, is different from other types in that the flow through the turbine is across it. Thus some literature prefers to call it 'crossflow turbine', while some others try to name it after 'Osberger' who too seems to have developed the same concept independently, though well after Prof Banki who holds the patent for this invention.en_US
